He also hunted lion between Pewur and Hansi, and thgouh none were obtained, Mundy includes a discussion of the lion hunting exploits of Col. James Skinner and William Fraser.
This book is authored by Captain Godfrey Mundy, a distinguished British Army officer who later served as the Lieutenant Governor of Jersey, this work is enriched by the author's firsthand experiences. Mundy's participation in the 1825 Siege of Bharatpur in the princely state of Bharatpur adds historical depth to his narrative. The spine of this edition exhibits some signs of wear, as evident in accompanying photos, and certain pages show significant foxing and discoloration.
These two volumes are complete with all 19 plates and a map detailing the upper provinces of India during the years 1827, 1828, and 1829
