The painting is in good condition and painted in oil on canvas. It is signed "H. Hartung" lower right. Heinrich Hartung IV (Düsseldorf 1888-Koblenz 1966) comes from a famous family of painters, whose male heirs always have the first name "Heinrich". Hartung was trained at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and worked as a landscape painter, showing well-known scenes from Germany, Italy and Austria. Colours and contrasts can vary slightly.
