Variety Overaged Malt Whiskey consists of a blend of different single malt whiskeys - obtained from malted barley - aged for 12 to 15 years. Production Once the assembly is complete, the whiskey ages in oak barrels which previously contained Sherry, so as to develop a good consistency and sweetness. The alcohol content is then reduced by adding Scottish water until it reaches 43% vol. Characteristics The younger single malts give the blend a lively and peaty character, while the more mature ones give roundness and complexity. With an amber color, it is characterized on the nose by hints of dried flowers, tobacco and almonds, while on the palate the taste is fruity, powerful and long. Boxed, 700 ml.
