M. Cornelius is my artist name. I graduated from the St. Joost art academy in Breda (the Netherlands), department of painting and drawing. My work is in private collections in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Sweden, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria. Working as a professional artist for more than 35 years. Under my real name I have exhibited in museums and galleries in the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom, and my work is in many collections in USA, China, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Latvia, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, France. The painting is an abstract translation of what I have observed and experienced during my many walks in nature: the clouds, the atmosphere, the light (morning/day/evening), the reflections of the light on water, the silence, the colors, the cold and warmth, the vastness, the grandeur of nature, the wind, the memories of the landscape. I painted this painting after a walk along a lake in Sweden.. Technique: very good quality acrylic paint on a very good quality canvas. The painting is rolled up, wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube, without stretcherframe. You will receive a certificate of authenticity. Unfortunately, in some images of my painting you can see the moiré effect. It is caused by the structure of the cotton I paint on. I didn't paint this like that, but it is caused by photographing and uploading the photos. If you zoom in, the effect is gone. See information about this on the internet.
