The Riserva del Fondatore was born in 1972, when the leadership of the company was in the hands of the second generation of the Lunellis, Franco, Gino and Mauro. It is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes, from the vineyards owned by the family, on the slopes of the mountains that frame Trento, up to 600 meters above sea level, facing south-west. The harvest takes place in mid-September; the vinification is followed by 10 years of aging on the lees.
