Rare edition, Bevelled boards with intricate embossed design to both boards and gold pictorial representation of the Nile and Pyramids at Giza plus embellishments to front board, externally very clean and bright, only light stains, spine darkened. Internally scattered foxing, heavier on some places, especially on margins. Illustrations in overall good condition, two stains on frontis.Some shelfwear and light wear on head and tail of spine. Beautiful floral endpapers. See photos as part of description. Last three pages with interesting "hints to travellers in the east, especially the desert"!!!! Rarity.
