I am offering to auction a superb 19th Century oil on canvas by a follower of French artist Gustave-Henri Colin, 1828-1910. The painting features a wonderful colourful riverbank in summer. The artist has captured the suns rays cascading through the woodland to shimmer on the surface of the water. The artist has signed it lower right G Colin. Gustave-Henri Colin an artist from the school of Barbizon and Impressionism generally painted portraits, landscapes and exhibited at the Salon des Refusés.
