Fine examples of iconic Danish underglazed porcelain figurines by Bing & Grondahl in blue, white, brown and beige nuances showing two children reading (Danish "Læsende børn"), 10x10 cm; and playing (Danish "Legende børn") 12x13 cm. These classic models were amongst several designed by Danish artist Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, famous for a her porcelain statues produced in collaboration with B&G. Marked on the base with the three towers for B&G, design nos. 1567 & 1568, both dated 1948-1952.
