Starożytny Rzym Brązowy Prowincjał Judei Prutah Heroda Agryppy I (Bez ceny minimalnej )
An ancient bronze coin, minted in Jerusalem, under Herod Agrippa I. The obverse depicts an umbrella-like canopy with fringes, perhaps the royal canopy, and reads ΒΑCΙΛΕWC ΑΓΡΙΠΑ, meaning of King Agrippa. The reverse features three ears of barley springing from two leaves, L - possibly ς, indicating that this coin was minted in the 6th year of his reign.
These bronze coins, known as prutah, were minted in Jerusalem under Herod Agrippa I, one of the grandson of Herod the Great, a friend of Emperor Caligula, and one of the last Herodian leaders of Judea. Under Caligula, Herod Agrippa was granted several territories, and with the addition of the parts of Judea province that belonged to Herod Archelaus in 41AD by Emperor Claudius, he had reunited his grandfather's kingdom under his rule. After Herod Agrippa's death in 44AD, Judea was reinstated as a Roman province.
