Maruru is the name of a polynesian island ( Maruru Mapiti ) and also the word in Tahitian langage to say thank you. Hanabusa takes us on the traces of Paul Gauguin ( his tomb is in Hiva Oa, another island of the Archipel) We feel all along the book an immense tranquility and the importance of the element Water in Polyneasian's life.
