In 1983, he won the Society of Posts and Telecommunications award, which, after purchasing a model, entrusted him with the weaving. This experience was entirely satisfying, and for the first time, the square meter of tapestry reached five hundred and fifty thousand (550,000) francs in Senegal. In 1996, he was awarded the Grand Prize of the President of the Republic of Senegal for the Arts. In 2002, he was the laureate of the Atelier du 80 in Paris and the bronze medalist of the Salon of the Society of French Artists. The Presidency of the Republic of Senegal, the Ministry of Culture, BCEAO, CBAO, SGBS, SONATEL, POST, ARTP have acquired his works, which they house in their premises. He established a training workshop in Saint-Louis to pass on his expertise to young talents for free.
