Very beautiful carved ivory netsuke depicting a drinking god being served by a goddess. Red seal signature. Magnificent, very expressive sculpture and very fine work. In very good overall condition with a beautiful patina. Note that there is a small chip on the right foot of the man, perhaps an original break.
Measurements: cm in height
– Ivory specimen, in compliance with Regulation EC 338-97 art. 2.w.mc of 9 December 1996. From before 1 June 1947. The seller guarantees that this object is made of old ivory, altered before 1947 and may be (re)sold in accordance with the provisions of CITES.
