Gino Ruggeri - Lot of three large alabaster / resin / marble mythology sculptures
In good condition, three magnificent Italian Roman statues on a black marble plinth, made by sculptor Gino Ruggeri from Italy. According to us, the material is resin but it could also be alabaster. At the rear the name of the artist, G. Ruggeri and R.G. At the bottom two labels, of the artist and the factory where they came from.
Dimensions from left to right:
1. Poseidon Neptune merman - Height 20 cm x Diameter base 7.5 cm x 6.5 cm.
2. Venus Victus after Canova - Height 21 cm x Diameter base 5.5 cm x 6 cm.
3. Michelangelo's horned Moses, the original statue resides in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli, Rome - Height 23 cm x diameter base 9 cm x 8 cm.
Background information:
Gino Ruggeri is one of the most well-known Italian sculptors in Italy. He worked for many years for Tito Bianchi in Bianchi's Factory in Tuscany, Italy.
The condition is in accordance with the age and use.
