Herman Van Nazareth - pseudonym for Herman Van Aerde – (Evergem, Belgium 1936) has a distinct place in the international art scene.
He was educated at the Royal Academies of Ghent and Antwerp where he got the hang of the painters-graphic arts. On an artistic level he is a late bloomer, but very versatile.
Early 1960’s he leaves to South Africa, where he lives for a large part of the year since then and works as a painter and sculptor.
