A magnificent sculpture of an owl sitting on a piece of hollow trunk. The colours are matte, except for the eyes which are glazed. The sculpture rests on a wooden base. The sculpture is fully marked. With a sticker ‘G’. Armani’ on the wooden base. And on the sculpture itself in blue with a crowned ‘N’ and the name ‘G Armani’ impressed. The sculpture is designed by Giuseppe Armani (1935-2006) and made in Firenze. Florence Sculture d'Arte offered him in 1975, recognising the genius in Armani, the possibility to exclusively work for them. He would be encouraged to give his muse a free run. Giuseppe Armani accepted. Armani made masterpieces, varying from traditional Capodimonte style sculptures to more daring and contemporary, sometimes capricious sculptures, for more than 20 years. Giuseppe always doused his sculptures in a mix of breathtaking realism and sparks of life. The sculpture is in perfect condition. Dimensions: It has a height of 30 cm. The diameter of the base is 17 cm. It weighs 2.2 kilograms.
