Viennese regulator clocks are generally stately clocks with a long pendulum that slowly moves back and forth. This clock is no exception to this rule. The black wooden case can be categorised as quite sleek with limited adornments. For the striking mechanism a heavier weight was used than for the timekeeping element. The numeral ring of the second hand has a blue colour.
This clock is a so-called marriage clock: the movement of this clock comes from a different regulator. The movement only mentions the number 7232. No further indications regarding the maker can be found. The right winding hole was restored. The enamel shows cracks between VII and VIII, as well as through the IIII. There is a dent at the top of the pendulum lens.
The clock runs well and sounds every half hour by giving the relevant number of strikes on a round gong. Comes with winding key.
The lot can be picked up in Almere, the Netherlands. Shipping will be conducted well-packaged, insured and registered.
