Very rare fine spindle clock in a triple case made for the Ottoman market.
50 mm diameter. Height 22 mm - weight 89 g
Unusual collector's watch.
1 outer casing with shielded backside. Very good condition. Beaten silver nails as an ornament.
Except for a small nail, everything is present.
2 silver overcaps with wonderful full engraving.
Representing musical instruments and floral patterns.
3 smooth Silner watch cases.
Enamel dial with attached numbers - made for the Ottoman Empire.
Baroque watch-fine dial in top condition. No damage whatsoever.
Signed Markwick Markham Borrell London. Original baroque hands - blued with inlaid ornaments.
Wind at the back.
Unlocking mechanism to access the movement on the dial at 6 o'clock.
Very delicate and playful clockwork. Fully engraved plating. Round silver spindle with floral depiction, central flower and circle ending with star.
Silver disc for speed adjustment. Decorative gold pillar and ornaments. Factory signature Markwick Markham Borrell London No. 24463.
Factory working - winding key available.
Clock produced around 1760 in England.
