Charles Théodore Perron (1862-1934 ) : Sculpture "La Brise"; large sculpture, very beautiful, from the beginning of the artistic movement Arte Nova.
This sculpture depicts an elegant woman, trying to keep her scarf in the wind. Her dress flutters in the wind, conveying this work a sense of movement.
It is signed at the base and has a small plaque in the front centre with the artist's name and the title of the sculpture 'La Brise' (the wind).
Signed on the sculpture with Ch. Perron; Charles Théodore Perron ,French sculptor, born in the 19th century.
Estimated period: late 19th, beginning of the 20th century.
Made of metal alloy (presumably spelter) and multicoloured. The sculpture has 52 cm of height. It's on a yellow copper base of 15 x 15 cm.
Country of origin: France.
Conditions: Used with small signs of ageing and stains.
Dimensions: 52 × 15 × 52 cm.
