Offered 12 very decorative plates, made by Lomonosov Porcelain in Sint-Petersburg, Russia. This is a co-production of two great Russian artistic schools: Lomonosov Porcelain and Russian Lacquered Miniature Art Palekh.
The makers of these porcelain plates used Gzhel clay and rare Olonetz quartz and alabaster.
The incredibly colourful art created in Palekh is world famous. It are true works of art. The black lacquered artworks are provided with the heroes of Russian folklore, the amazing Firebirds and the gold manned troikas. The beauty, the movements and the harmony of the colours are amazing.
The process was limited to 195 firing days. The plates are based on original lacquer paintings by several Palekh's artists. The images are after stories of Russian folk fairy tales and poems by A.S. Puschkin. The backside of each plate has a description (in Russian).
The plates have a diameter of approx. 19 cm. They are in great condition. The colours are bright and fresh. The plates are in tiptop condition. Magnificent gift for the upcoming holidays.
