Musima CLASSIC - Germany - 80s Musima was one of the largest manufacturers of stringed instruments in the Soviet Union, created in 1952. This guitar was made in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), in Markneukirchen, close to the Czech border. The area’s Ore mountains had the right conditions for high-grade spruce, used in the guitars and other instruments. This guitar features beautiful maple back and sides, with a solid spruce top. It has several inlays, in the top, sides and back of the guitar. There is also inlay in the neck. The fretboard is made from rosewood. The guitar is in excellent condition for it age, it only contains a small scratch in one of the sides. The bottom of the guitar contained a small crack, but this has been repaired by a luthier, and is hardly visible (see last photo). The good combination of woods make this a beautiful sounding instrument. The guitar size is 4/4, and the scale length is 650mm. The action at the 12th string is 3.5mm, measured with a caliper.
