Bust of Hadrian, the famous Roman emperor. Precious sculpture composed of polychrome marbles. The lively main drapery is carved in Cipollino green marble, some details such as the collar in France red marble and the buckle in France red and Siena yellow marble. Turned base in Portugal pink marble. The head, finely carved in detail, is carved in white Carrara marble. A unique model that goes beyond the usual iconography most frequently seen in the sculpture of busts of Roman emperors. It is part of a series of works that recreate sculptures with a museum-find look, created by the Todini’s workshop, a workshop called ‘of high aesthetic and cultural value’ in 2011 by the Latium region, with use of the stamp of origin and quality.
