Prestigious edition of Atlas Collections of the artillery train Gribeauval with draught horses and riders. Material: Tin alloy. Collector’s item titled: b Strung Field Artillery, Gribeauval system, consisting of : - Gribeauval cannon (12-pounder) with carriage. - 3 x pairs of horses with pulling bats for chariots. - 2x rider. - Ammunition box and water bucket. - Original plateau. They are cast based on original models from the Manufacture Historique de Soldats de Plomb (MHSP). They are numbered and marked, scale 1/32. Dimensions of the gun: 12.5 x 6.5 x 4.5 cm The top rider measures 9.5 cm The Gribeauval system (12-pounder), developed in the 1760s, was a piece of artillery of great importance during the French Revolution and then the Napoleonic Wars. Because of its firepower it was decisive for winning or losing. It was so effective that it was also used on the battlefields of the Revolutionary War. It would remain in use until the mid-twenties of the 19th century. Will be carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
