The Felix-M adding machine, which since 1925 has been produced in Moscow, at the Sushchevsky plant named after. F. E. Dzerzhinsky. Adding machines received the name “Felix” in 1931. In the 1940s, the adding machine was the most popular computing machine in the world. It was called an "ingeniously simple, convenient, portable and cheap" adding machine. It was the “Felix” model that by the end of the 60s accounted for the vast majority of produced adding machines (300 thousand per year).
