He held the title of Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank) and was awarded the Order of Culture. He served as an honorary advisor for the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition, a member of the Japan Art Academy, and a Person of Cultural Merit. He was also a member of the International Academy of Ceramics. Throughout his career, he held positions such as Director of the Kyoto Prefecture Association of Arts and Crafts, Executive Director of the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition, and Director of the Kyoto Cultural Foundation. Masayuki Imai is a Japanese ceramic artist known for blending traditional pottery techniques with contemporary art. His works are characterized by innovative designs and beautiful use of colors.
