Each player controls one airline (represented by a colored tail fin). To kick-off game play, one player begins the game at home base and picks up a card which has the name of a city on it. The player flies to that city and returns to base, thereby earning the landing rights for that city. Anyone landing in that city in future must then pay the player who controls it for landing privileges. More landing rights must be paid if the player owns a "set" which is defined as a grouping of several cities within that country | continent.
