Kanzan and Jitotu were legendary poet monks who lived during the Tang Dynasty in China, and their eccentric behavior that transcended the mundane was considered to be a ``wind madness.'' In Chinese Zen Buddhism, ``fukyo'' was considered important as a state of enlightenment, and the state of renunciation in Kanzan Jitoku was often depicted as a traditional painting theme in China and Japan, as it was related to Buddhism. In 1924, Akiko was the only one to create two of the 12 new prints, ``New Ukiyo-e Bijingo,'' which was a collaboration between 11 people including Terukata Ikeda, Shōen Ikeda, and Shima Seien.
