About Yoji Kawanami “Flowers and Birds of the Four Seasons”
Yoji Kawanami loved flowers and spent his days taking great joy in the quiet poetry of beautiful flowers. His early works, that is, at the end of the Taisho period, show that he admired the flower and bird paintings of the Song and Yuan dynasties.
Yoji Kawanami (1898-1985) was born in Saga such as other important artist, Chikaku Nagai (Tenshō), Harumi Tateishi e Keikichi Iwanaga. Yoji Kawanami artworks are preserved in Saga Museum.
