David Bowie – The Man Who Sold The World (Mercury – 6338 041D) made in Germany original official 1st pressing 'Gimmick' LP | vinyl: VG++ (excellent) | cover: VG+ | Edition with the small pressing ring around the spindle hole, so not pressed and released prior to summer 1972. | Released in a full-color 3-fold die-cut flyout sleeve - which opens to a circle. The disc includes an inner sleeve that contains the lyrics to the songs on the record.
Dead Wax info: see photo (Stamped) --- This edition contain some extra music at the end of the LP. As The Supermen fades out a short section of Saviour Machine is heard. It appears this was the original intention, though not employed on the other Mercury editions, as a very brief section can be heard, very quietly, on the later RCA editions (i.e., it's on the master tape)
Not to confuse with this counterfeit. Genuine copies have machine-stamped matrices while the counterfeits have hand-scratched ones. This is an authentic original!!
