The FAIRLADY 2000 (Datsun SR311) made its debut in March 1967, just before the second GP after the completion of the Fuji Speedway. It debuted in March 1967, just before the second GP was held at Fuji Speedway. The "Datsun Roadster" of the prewar period, the "Datsun Sportz" of 1959, the SP310, and the sP311 were succeeded by the SR 311. It was a full-fledged two-seater sports car in the vein of British traditional sports cars such as the MG and Triumph, and was capable of racing performance. The previous Fairlady models had been rather quiet, but the SR 311, equipped with a 2-liter engine, was a spartan performer.
