Talisker Whiskey Old Malt Cask is a Hunter Laing bottling, distilled on the Isle of Skye in December 2008. The single malt spent the next eight years in a single refill barrel, before being bottled for the Old Malt Cask series in January 2017. A fabulous whiskey from the Maritime Island.
Citrus freshness on the nose, where clean malt and hints of salinity shine through. The taste is still coastal and savory, although soft hints of vanilla and white grapes give it a subtle sweetness. The aftertaste is long, spicy with notes of pepper.
