A woman holding a marguerite flower in her mouth, a strong man's arm and a mellow woman's waist, the breasts of a man and a woman touching each other, a man holding a small bird softly in his hand... Hosoe's naked yet highly abstract and modern works greatly influenced various forms of expression after the 1960s. Mishima, who saw "Otoko to Onna (A Man and a Woman)," asked Hosoe to shoot the film, which led to the creation of "Rosy Punishment," which was also a major turning point for Hosoe.
