Clairin Vieux Vaval 2015 8 Y. O.: the Clairin to test aging The 8-year-old Clairin Vieux Vaval 2015 is a Pure Single Rum produced from the pure cane juice of the Meuze variety, grown in the Grand Terroir of Cavaillon. It is a blend of two houses that are part of the first aging experiments of Clairin, which began in 2015, as well as for Vaval, also for Sajous and Casimir. Initially, different types of barrel were used to understand with which wood the Clairin would best express itself, and from the first assages it was evident that the Vaval and the Casimir were enhanced by ex-whisky barrels. This unique release has been aged for 8 years in barrels that have the contents of the Benriach. Along with the Casimir, the Vieux Vaval is the oldest Clairin in existence. After aging in Haiti in a tropical climate, it was fully bottled. Clairin Vieux Casimir 2015 8 Y.
