Chribska - Josef Hospodka - Vas (2) - Sticlă
Exceptionally beautiful vase duo, designed by Josef Hospodka in the 1960s for the Chřibská glassworks. High-quality, hand-blown, unique piece without signature.
Elegant organic shape with a scalloped edge. Layers of shades of blue at the top and beautiful shades of pink at the base, encased in clear colourless glass. The upper edge ends with a darker blue stripe. Clear colourless glass wings. Wonderful play of colours and beautiful optical effects - especially with suitable lighting. Very decorative collector's item.
A beautiful vintage 1960s art glass vase, a pure product of Bohemian glass making tradition. A handmade design by Josef Hospodka and made at the Chribska glass works in Czechoslovakia.
Excellent design combining modern and bright colours into very elegant and strong pieces.
Both vases are in excellent vintafe condition.
The Chribska glassworks, full name Sklarna Chribska, was founded in the early 15th century and stayed in production until very recently. In 1882, it was bought by the Mayer family. Chribska became part of the Borske Sklo National Corporation during the 1950s. Chief designer at this time was Josef Hospodka, who specialized in sculptural blown glass designs.
