Sculpture designed and signed by Roger Pfund to celebrate the 1995 Declaration of Human rights. Declaration of Principles on Tolerance was Proclaimed and signed by the Member States of UNESCO on 16 November 1995. It consist of 30 articles signed by the UN member states. The sculpture here have each page dedicated to each of the 30 articles in different languages. Every 4 page have a Roger Pfund grafic. Its number 46 out of 250 done in total. Biography: ROGER PFUND Born in 1943 in Bern in Switzerland. Lives and works in Geneva since 1971. A multifaceted man, Roger Pfund presents himself first and foremost as a painter. He devotes a large part of his pictorial work to his "icons", women and men, who had an extraordinary destiny and whose life was a source of perpetual inspiration for the painter. Since 1966, Roger Pfund has exhibited his works in Europe, the United States, South America and Asia. As a graphic designer, Roger Pfund has developed his activity in the field of visual communication. He has worked in fields as diverse as culture, humanitarian, finance and industry. He is a designer of cultural installations, architectural projects and more than a thousand posters, books, business reports and objects. For many years he specialized in the creation and design of the bank note. From 1971, he participated in the creation of Swiss banknotes and is the designer of the latest series of French banknotes. In 1996, the international jury of the European Monetary Institute awarded him the first prize in the Euro competition. He is still called today by many countries as advisor and designer of new banknotes. Winner of many international awards, decorated by several institutions, he received in 2002 the distinction of Officer of the Order of Arts & Letters of the French Republic In 2003 he created the new Swiss passport.
