The reverse side of the coin features the flags of various countries arranged in the order in which they recognized Lithuania's independence after the declaration of independence in 1990.
Special emphasis is given to Iceland, which was the first to recognize Lithuania's independence.
The reverse side also incorporates the emblem of the United Nations (UN), symbolizing Lithuania's admission to the UN on September 17, 1991.
On the obverse side, a stylized Vytis is depicted, with the word "LIETUVA" at the top, the coin's denomination of 20€ on the left, and the year of issue, which is 2016, at the bottom.
