Early Genuine British Alvis Eagle Bird Hood Ornament Car Mascot in Used Condition mounted on period plastic base Made in 1931, but not released as an Alvis Mascot until a few years after. This is brass plated and as can be seen in the images has some significant wear in a few places due to the plating wearing off. It was attached to the front of an Alvis for a considerable number of years and the wear to the mascot reflects this fact. A genuine example with AEL stamped on the rear section it's a lovely mascot which would display well. Note there appears to be a shortening of the lower beak, however I'm not 100% certain and might be original. Measures, with the base, 16 cm in height and 17 cm wingspan.
