Stef Uiterwaal - Mary sculpture made of satin glass, large model + original Leerdam base 1929, Leerdam, the Netherlands A large (38 cm high, including foot 42.5 cm) satin glass Mary and Baby Jesus, with original illuminated (porcelain) foot made at the Ram (14 cm diameter). The sculpture was designed by Stef Uiterwaal (1889-1960). The mark of the artist is very prominently shown on the rear. Condition is very fine, no damage and very sharply made. Foot is made of pressed purple glass (looks like black), frosted. The foot was probably made by KPC the Basel.
