Now up for auction: Very neat and technically good Swiss Army bicycle, type MO-05. Iconic bicycle of unprecedented quality. No wonder the Swiss army used them since 1905, almost unchanged over many years. This Condor is very complete with many original accessories The special pump is also included. The bike is from 1944, from World War II. The saddle also has a 1944 mark. Original lock with key. Brakes/hubs: Fichtel & Sachs hubs with on the front the extra thick nickel hub and on the rear the famous Torpedo coaster brake. Additional rear drum brake fitted by the Swiss Army after the war for extra stopping power downhill. The bike has a stamp brake braking on the tyre. Tyres/wheels: The tyres are original Swiss heel tyres which are in good condition. Both the rims and spokes are in neat, good condition. Other original accessories/components: - Stocked up tool bag with original tools. - Two side bags with waterproof exterior - Bakelite handles - Chain and sprockets in perfect condition. - Leather mudguard - Regimental number plate (very sought after) - Dynamo/headlight combination This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
