Rare, important Arsa Chronograph (Auguste Reymond S. A.) Hand-wound, dates back to the 1930s.
Rare yellow gold casing, 37 mm (excluding crown), with hallmark on the pressure-fit case back.
Original coeval case in gold, with Auguste Raymond logo; it is rare to find a chronograph from this period that still has its first original case with logo.
Auguste Reymond was one of the great Swiss watchmaking pioneers, founder of Arsa and the Maison Unitas,
as well as the designer and developer of the factory that became the legendary Valjoux in the early part of the century.
Metallic dial with gold graphics and 2 sub-dials (seconds at 9 o’clock, 45-minute chronograph at 3 o’clock)
Gold-coloured applied markers (a mix of numerals and bars), and gold-coloured sword-type hands.
Generic crown, strap and gold-plated buckle.
Total strap length: about 24 cm
Total weight of the watch: about 40 grams
Weight of gold case alone: about 12 grams
High-end Valjoux 22 GHT chronograph movement, the rare version of this renowned high-quality calibre, typical of the 1930s.
