Arabic numerals, applied markers and golden hands. Diameter: 33.5 mm (35 mm incl. crown) Thickness: 10 mm New crystal (Perspex). New strap in brown leather & golden pin buckle (+/- 23 cm incl. the watch). Stainless steel back, signed and numbered (354945). Anti-magnetic & anti-dust. Good overall condition with some signs of wear. Fully serviced by a professional watchmaker in early 2018. The watch is in perfect working order and keeps the time very well. The watch will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. *The R23 was designed in 1955 to replace the R25. The 2 calibres were used together for a few years. It was very successful and was only gradually replaced by the R136 in 1963. It has 17 jewels and a direct central second hand (contrary to the R25). Its technology was improved eight times, and during its tenure each upgrade was marked with the letters A through H, which were engraved on the platinum located next to the reference for the calibre. This calibre is often protected from dust by a clipped back.
