Beautiful Clement Paris racing bike from 1907. Bike is in original condition, it cycles well, very rare! Adolphe Clément set up his first small company in 1876, a bicycle repair shop in Bordeaux. After learning how to make steel pipes for frames in Marseille, he started a bicycle factory in Lyon, "Clément SA Cyles" in 1877. Adolphe opened on Rue Brunel (close to the Place de l'Etoile) a bicycle company in 1878. Adolphe went cycling again, along with Charles Terront, he took part in the six-day at the Agricultural Hall in London. He also opened a shop on the Rue du Quattre-Septembre and started a new kind of advertising campaign, with posters. His company was financially supported by the Graffenried and Montgeron. The company grew rapidly because of the quality of the products and Clément became soon the largest French bicycle manufacturer. Collection preferred, shipping possible by arrangement.
