From a time when the Beatles recorded their last masterpieces in London. A beautiful Rolls Royce Silver Shadow delivered on 2 January 1969. The first model thus with the nice walnut and the small meters on the dashboard. Still in a real classic style, way nicer than the later models. The nice door handles also differ from later versions. The Rolls drives lovely with its proper hydropneumatic suspension system. The bodywork is in a good rust-free condition with nice patina and looks very neat. A small spot on the right rear fender but otherwise the car is rock solid and rust-free. The chrome is also in good condition and the interior is still fitted with the original Connolly leather and the somewhat older Wilton wool carpet. The on-board tools are also there. The car starts immediately and runs nice. The automatic transmission shifts silky smooth and brakes excellently. The electrically adjustable seats work properly. Also the power windows, the antenna and other luxury features are in working condition. The Roll has always been well maintained, which can be verified. The Dutch periodic vehicle inspection is valid until 17-08-2020 and it is affordable with classic car insurance and being exempt from road tax! After 50 years, this is still a nice and cared for car. Not new, of course, but always very well maintained. A true classic! The car can be viewed and picked up in Pijnacker, the Netherlands.
