Beautiful model of a vintage ship depicting the 1749 ship Royal Caroline; a model of fine finish, of great precision and high craftsmanship. The Royal Caroline was built at Deptford shipyard in 1749 as yacht for the English Royal Family. She served for many years, during which time she sailed all around the world. She was finally broken up in 1820. This beautiful ship had an extremely competitive line for racing as well as a rich set of ornamentation all around the hull. Model made in scale in wood and brass; the ship was entirely built, assembled and then painted by hand, following the original boat features in detail. Boat in excellent condition.
