Egmond - Princess - Basgitarr - Nederländerna - 1964
For sale: an Egmond Princess bass from 1964 in good condition. Egmond was founded by Uilke Egmond and his sons in 1940. Egmond was a Dutch guitar company specialising in making affordable instruments that once dominated the European market, especially in the late 1950s and early sixties. Some of the most legendary musicians have played Egmond instruments such as Keith Richards, Brian May, George Harrison and Paul McCartney.
This concerns a bass guitar model Princess. Hollow body, neck with trussrod. Sound is warm and low, low middle range and a nice treble response.
Neck has a sturdy D-profile and is fairly narrow. Top is approx. 4 cm and the bottom is approx. 5.5. The fretboard has cream-coloured mother-of-pearl markers and 25 original frets in good condition.
The headstock has the original Egmond logo and trussrod cover. Original set of machine heads which turn smoothly and hold tuning well.
Each pickup has an on/off flip switch. 1 volume and 1 tone control.
Nice piece of history and really road-worn and vintage.
