Old army bike, from 1949. Bought at Domeinen in Soesterberg in 1968 and registered after an inspection. I used it a lot when I was younger (1968-1980). After that only occasionally. Hardly at all the last 20 years. Motorcycle was always stored in dry shed. . As a youngster who couldn't afford a Harley Davidson, I fitted a larger handlebar and raised the headlight. Easy to put back in its original condition by the new owner. The bike is complete and runs (nice and slow when idling) but it needs proper refurbishing. Started and drove around briefly on 10 February 2020. The engine shifts well, new clutch plates were recently fitted. The dynamo doesn’t work, the battery therefore doesn’t charge. Lights and brake light work, but only on battery. Battery (12V) is included. Miles counter was installed 40 years ago, more than the 864 miles indicated have been driven since. The number of kilometres driven in that period is difficult to estimate. Several trips made to England, Germany, France and Sweden from 1968 to 1980 and of course the necessary kilometres in the Netherlands. No major problems in that period, it always ran, always reliable. Its lesser condition is because it’s been standing still and hasn’t been used for some years. Visually in good condition as it was always in dry storage. The bike is in Middelburg (NL).
