The Bisschopsmolen anno 1596 in Maastricht. The artwork was signed in the lower right. The painting is in an excellent condition and is clean of surface dirt. The frame is in good to excellent condition and hardly has any signs of wear. The Dutch artist Walthère Joseph ("Walter") Neuhoff was born on 20 March 1904 in Maastricht and died there on 11 July 1982. He was a painter, watercolourist, draughtsman and pen draughtsman. He was a pupil at the Stadsacademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Maastricht. Walter was also a pupil of Harie Jonas. He painted landscapes, still lifes and portraits.
