Gustav Falconnier - glas tegel (75) - Glas

75 replicas of the historic, mould-blown glass building blocks by Gustav Falconnier (see Wikipedia), 50 model 9 bricks and the associated edging stones. Giving a closed area of about 1.33 m wide, 1.03 m high. The bricks sell individually for between 30 and 60 euros. They come from industrial wasteland in Zwickau/Saxony and were probably installed around 1910. The bricks could evidently be removed undamaged from the 2 windows identified. Small amounts of mortar and dirt are stuck to them, but they can be cleaned with water. Unfortunately, we don’t know which glassworks they are from. Delivered in closed batches only. Furthermore, some damaged bricks will be included. The glass building blocks are ideal for the renovation of listed buildings. Made from 1880, hermetically sealed with a seal of molten glass, light weight, heat-insulating effect, awarded at the Paris Exposition in 1900. Patents were granted. Licensees included the Adlerhütte in Penzig, the Gerresheimer Glassworks and S. Reich & Co in Vienna. The bricks are part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
