This shelf was designed by Scandinavian designer Niels Gammelgaard for Ikea in 1985. In its simplicity and clear function the design is a modern designer classic. The shelf is equally suitable for use in the living room or in the office. The original design was created with four colours on the edges of the shelves. Three out of four edges of a single shelves are painted all around in the same colour: yellow, red, blue or green. One long side of the shelves is white. In addition, the surfaces of the shelves are white on one side and anthracite on the other side. The height of the stands can be adjusted individually and therefore adapt to the surface.
