Beautiful coupe in fume coloured optically blown Murano glass.
In a wrought iron base.
Decorated with grape vines all around.
Designer Umberto Bellotto, Italy, Venice.
Umberto, born 1882 in Venice, was the son of an ironsmith.
At an early age he also became an ironsmith where, at the age of 20, he worked with the famous architect Cesare Laurenti at the famous restaurant Lo Storione.
As a result, he started to specialise in wrought iron with glass work.
In 1914 he settled his name all over the world through his exhibitions
.
His name became so big that he worked with very big names for his glass.
Including: Vittorio Zecchin, Toso Fratelli and some other big names.
His pieces can be seen in the museum of Murano.

This coupe is in very good condition.
