Rare black minimalist Dutch Design table clock. The clock is complete, working and optically in very good original condition. Designum was founded in 1980 by product designers Hans Ebbing, Ton Haas and Paul Schudel, graphic designers Loek Kemming, Noudi Spönhoff and Jan van den Broek of the Designers Association. They were looking for a way to produce the interior accessories they designed while maintaining the high quality, both in design and execution. By marketing the products in-house, they kept control over the entire chain, from design through (small-scale) production and packaging to distribution. Tricky item to photograph due to the reflective plexiglass, hopefully it gives a good enough picture of this design classic.
